In 24 years, Hermeto and Manny have established a strong friendship, fueled by mutual admiration and affection and always adorned with gifts from both parties. On each trip, Manny brings a souvenir for Hermeto, like flowered shirts for performances, alarm clocks with bird sounds and even a DX7 synthesizer, still active. On the other hand, Hermeto returns the affection with songs. There are countless unpublished scores, currently more than one hundred, which, properly framed, cover the walls of the Manny's house in El Paso. Exceptionally, due to the silence brought about by the pandemic, in the last two years, face-to-face visits have been interrupted. But the gifts continued. During isolation, Manny handpicked several 'sheet music paintings' from his wall and sent the artworks to Coletivo Músicos Online, who produced this work that you now appreciate. A present of the present, not only to the CMO, but to everyone who, like Manny, admires the music of Hermeto Pascoal.
